When can I use Buddy Assist?

Whenever you feel that you need assistance from more than your friends or family. Noonlight will dispatch police, fire, or medical emergency services to your home address, unless you cancel the alarm by saying 'Ask My Buddy to Check In with everyone'..

When should I not use Buddy Assist?

When you do not need emergency services. Buddy Assist is designed to provide assistance in emergency situations. It immediately connects you with a Noonlight dispatcher who can send police, fire, or medical services to your home address. If you are not in danger, or not in an emergency situation, do not use Buddy Assist.

Important: If you activate Buddy Assist, and do not reply to Noonlight when they reach out to you, and do not cancel the alarm, the emergency services WILL be dispatched to your home.

What happens when I use Buddy Assist?

When you speak one of the commands to send an alert to everyone, an alert is also sent to Noonlight dispatchers. The alert will include your name, phone number, address, and any 'reason' you may have included with the Send Help command. Additionally, if you specifically alert one of the key words, such as police, ambulance, or fire, the type of help desired will be included in the notification. Once Noonlight has received a notification, their agent will attempt to reach you by text message or phone call. If they are able to reach you, they will help you receive the assistance you need. If they are not able to reach you, they will dispatch public safety service personnel to your home on your behalf.

Will I be billed for services?

Access to Noonlight certified agents is included in your Premium or Ultimate subscription. There is no further charge from Ask My Buddy or Noonlight. Please note that any emergency services dispatched will work in the same manner as having dialed 911 directly and Ask My Buddy nor Noonlight have any influence on actions taken by those services. Additionally, any charges incurred by responding agencies are your responsibility.
